Originally written in 2002 for woodwind trio, this piece was revised and reworked for wind quintet in early 2024. The first movement is flowing, darkly playful, and a bit quirky. Its ending dissipates like a fleeting thought or an unanswered question. The second movement is a gentle but impassioned elegy with hints of a soft lullaby.
